Diversity & Inclusion

The purpose of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee is to represent systematically marginalized communities within the graduate school.  Our mission is to create a welcoming campus for all people, regardless of color, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social or economic class, ability and nationality. 

The DEI committee of GSG works to support this mission by offering resources, supporting the voices of graduate students, and hosting programming related to DEI initiatives.   Additionally, it is the role of the DEI chairs to review GSG policies related to diversity and inclusion and recommend changes and implementation when necessary.

Our sub-committee is made up of representatives from DEI-focused organizations within the graduate school community and works to promote intersectionality, collaboration, and address the needs of their organizations.
